Check it out...he's &@#%ing clueless about how the media works....clearly pissed off at Tim Fitzgerald though...but that's sort of a given these days if you work at KSU.

http://www.kstatesports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=400&ATCLID=3622165  (click the video link to see the presser) 2:50 mark.

It's like he lives in some &@#%ing bizzaro world. He hasn't learned jack crap.

God bless him, his heart is in the right place but he just doesn't understand what has changed since the 80's.

I just noticed on my sig, Brandon Banks has the same head/body size proportion as GP/Snyder. Wicked.

Come on . . . I question the re-hire, but some of  you guys are nitpicking like a bunch of Queer Eye  :ku:

I can roll off the names of about 20 coaches all younger than Snyder who have bitched and moaned about the Internet.

Dude...80s?  WTH are you smoking.  He won the Big 12 just 5 years ago.  I could give a rat's ass whether he knows the difference between Myspace and Facebook, as long as he can freaking coach football (which he can obviously do).

Pete, how long have you had season tickets?  It's a minimum of 2 years of season tickets for you to say anything remotely critical of Snyder.  Nice try on the "god bless him" to try to sneak in one, but it still counts.

Dax, those 20 coaches are bitching and moaning about the reality of the internet....not acting mystified or marveling at it's existence.

I have no doubt that he cares.  I have no doubt than he can coach.

The key to this &@#%ing experiment is whether Bill has changed.  If he hasn't, we'll merely repeat 2004 and 2005 over and over again.

The players who won the 2003 championship game were recruited by the best coaches in the Nation who all departed before 2000....at a time when we were coming off 6-8 bowl games in a row....the failures that followed that 1998 coup of coaches and that 2003 Big 12 championship were caused by failures that Bill is likely to NOT correct going forward.

Yeah, we'll repeat 2004 and 2005 over and over again, because it's very clear that the world changed so dramatically between December of 2003 and September of 2004.  Snyder just suddenly became technologically inept during those 10 months.  Snyder was never a big tech guy, he left that to his assistants, just like he'll do now.

You don't &@#%ing get it.

2004 and 2005 were set in motion in 1999.

NOTHING changed with Bill......he fails to recognize this fundamental fact.  He'll go back to doing what he does, and he'll hire the same sort of retreads that laid ground work for 2004 and 2005.

I hope I am wrong, but I really doubt that I am.

The only thing I question about the choice is how we've gotten here.  He was far and away my 2nd choice among realistic candidates.  Just seems like we went either/or, whoever signes first (or Snyder was THE choice).  Reading too much into his presser, but he didn't sound like the fire is burning inside that he HAD to have the job back.  Seems like we cut bait on the Patterson negotiation to give the job back to a hof coach who is doing it as a favor to us.  The staff will tell us everything about how this will work out.  Could end up being better then GP in the short term, imo.

I don't mind anyone being critical of the hire.  The "old ballz", "old Coot", etc. crap is lame though.  Falls well short of the internet edgy target, imo.

Pete . . . even I am getting tired of all your bitching.

Maybe he hasn't learned a thing, but i doubt that's the case.

Plus, at this juncture, I'll take the D1 retreads of Snyder over the DIII coaching staffs of Prince.

You know what I am tired of Dax?  Watching this "legend" rest on the &@#%ing laurels of some amazing AC hires that ended a decade ago.  Repeat that crap, or stay in the &@#%ing grandstands at the pee-wee baseball game.

Look chief, I caught holy hell for always telling the powertards who worshiped Snyder that he wasn't bigger than K-State.  So I am hardly jumping out of my chair in  :dancin: for him coming back.  But it is what it is . . . I am just choosing to look at what I perceive to be some positives over the fraud who used to occupy the office.

There was one constant during DoD.  Snyder.  Coaches came and went, yet Snyder's team continued to win.  But Snyder had nothing to do with that.  It was entirely due to his never ending parade of outstanding ACs.  Apparently, those coaches all came to KSU as little known assistants and left as the head coaches of major college programs, yet they took absolutely nothing from Snyder during their stay at KSU. The man has produced more quality coaches than about any coach in college football history, yet none of that was directly due to his influence.  You are a big time dumb ass.

There really isn't much point in arguing this.  We'll find out pretty quickly what the staff will look like.  If it's Miller (Matt), Smith, Stanley retreads, we're screwed (highly unlikely, imo).  If it's Bennett, Long, Miller (del) retreads with Eckler, Wolford type additions, we'll be very competitive/good.  Don't have to worry about staff erosion or loyalty problems.  Snyder won't be around long enough to make either a concern.

qft. getting kind of annoying.

109-29. Seriously, 109-29 dudes.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

We certainly have common ground on that.

However, and I know this more than cliche, I expect more.   If your name is on the &@#%ing building you had better give me more than just losing with dignity.

Bennett, Elliott, Bielema.  All contributed to 1999-2003. Care to see the record during those 4 years?

*edit.  Oh, and Dimel, Kerry Cooks, and Del Miller.
