Did he sound more like someone who would lose the remote to the TV and find it two weeks later in the refrigerator or someone who programs his TIVO to record AOTS?

    I'm with Coco.
Not AOTS, but maybe NCIS or 60MIN.

    ANGRY AS F*CK
The whole thing sounded like this:

A family is fighting near the holidays....brothers and sisters yelling and screaming at each other, things like that.  So dad goes and gets grandpa, and tells him to settle things.  Then grandpa tells a story about killing japs and peanut brittle for a penny until the kids are so bored that they quit fighting.

    Fear the Brick
it's almost like he reads this site.  he said the words "internet", "e-mail" and "text message".  so he at least knows they exist, although he has his secretary put them together, I'm sure she has to tell him to click the "send" button after he types it all out.  or just types it up on a type writer, hands it to his secretary and then she sends it out.

this is the best description of the entire situation. i'd only add that "dad" had to go wake granpa up from his mid afternoon nap.
