Wichita was named to the top 10 most metropolitan cities in the country by two different rating services last year.  We have a river, I think a museum or something, RiverFest, and the Warren theaters. Eat your heart out Manhattan!

didn't huggs say something about having his school in a big city being more of a problem than a help?  too many distractions?  i think he's more interested in being the big fish in the little pond than the 10th biggest attraction in a given city.

either way after whatever success we have this season or next ksu needs to go ahead and draw up the lifetime contract with a gaurantee that he'll always be one of the 10 highest paid coaches.  theres no reason not to, he's already making the university way more $$ than we could pay him.

and if huggs wants to retire the day after we win a national title i'm fine with that...even if its after next year.

What a bunch of crap! I've lived in both. I loved Manhattan when I lived there. Obviously you haven't. Location,Location,Location! Yes, the city centers around the college.Manhattan is in a scenic setting unlike Wichita. Wichita is in the poorest part of town instead of the best. Manhattan has close prox. to KC. I could go on but I won't . Not small by any means. What a REDICKOLESS POST

Depends on what Huggins does. If he stays in Manhattan then KSU will be better, if not Illinois will be

Once the hype around KSU and Huggins fades, (probably the end of this year), it will be tough for KSU to compete in the big 12.

I think Huggins will be a solid program sooner than later just to use it to bolt to a more major program. K-State is not his final coaching spot by any means. K-State is being used to launder Huggy so he can get a big time job.

By that time Thuggins might well be the head coach of the Illini... although it may take the illini faithful longer than that to come to their senses and discover that BW can't recruit the instate blue chippers.
