I hope we arent using a scholly on him. Unless it is just for this year, since he only has 1 year left of eligibility. But I wouldnt think he would be eligible this year since he is a transfer. So maybe he is walking on.

Under new NCAA rules, since he has completed his undergraduate degree, he'd be eligible to play his remaining year of eligibility at K-State - as long as he's admitted to graduate school. Apparently, he has been.

That hasn't been decided yet. I don't think so - at least that was the word in the press box yesterday. God forbid a sports information official would release such pertinent information.

Is he on scholarship?

I dont see why he wouldnt be on scholarship since there are 2 open scholarships for next year anyways.

I agree. I think he has has filled the spot that was going to be reserved for Brewer, who was never cleared by the NCAA. I know he was going to get a scholarship. I just think it's funny how there are kids just begging to come to K-State and play basketball. While this doesn't need to be said because it's so obvious, when was the last time that was the case?

Maybank would be next to zero help on this team.  He barely saw the court for a crappy St. Johns team as a senior last year.  If he is your huge mystery player then I am laughing my a$$ off at some peoples sense of 'great talent'...

He's not. He's a body, which judging by the brace of Clent Stewart's knee, that might be needed.

That was the rivals writer that said there is a mystery player, and I think he could help simply because there is so little depth at the guard positions.

Maybe it wasn't so obvious in the past, but it's always been the case.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Jmart won't share.

And rightfully so.  The ku coaching staff already figured it out.  The last thing I want is a coaching staff that actually has schollies available finding out.  The less competition for mystran the better.

Also, I keep hearing that if it gets out there a possibility it won't happen.

Please, as if the ku staff hasn't already called every D-I program in the nation outside the Big XII to share the news.
