why do all of our players wear their thigh pads on the side of their legs this year?

It has to be a new thing from Nike. The pad wraps around the side of the leg.

so is this a new phenomena?
my point was that i have never seen any other team do this, and it does seem like it would cause more friction whil running

cant cause friction when they arent rubbing against one another.

see the picture. pads wrap around from bottom to top of thigh.

inner thigh not covered.

no friction.

When you're as fast as our WRs it causes friction against the air.  We need to be streamlining our unis.

Maybe a cross between our helmets and these:

maybe if running a marathon or biking.

lamar and gang run 20 yard out patterns.

when they eventually break free for a long score...(regularly) then we need to start worrying.
