The Mercury has learned from Johnson Country District Attorney Paul Morrison that there were two victims, both males and under the age of 14, and that Hughes pled guilty to a single charge.

So much for my legal theory that Hughes used his BMOC status to hook up with some sophmore chick.

Bslimz, isn't it bad for prospective AG's to be giving out details of sealed juvenile cases?

The Mercury has confirmed that the indecent activities went on for a number of years.

Johnson County District Attorney Paul Morrison said the reason the case took so long to surface was because “it didn’t come to the attention of law enforcement until about three years after it happened. It is not uncommon at all to have a delay in cases like this.”

Ok.....If it took 3 years for it to come to their attention.....How can they prove it happened?

The Mercury has more on this incident tonight and it's disturbing. Tyler's dad says that "it's not what it seems" and had a "no comment" for how KSU has handled the situation and how Tyler is doing.

It's sad that it would appear that this, no matter if it's true or false, has ruined Tyler forever. I'm shocked that members of FHCJW's staff new about this when they recruited him.

Given what the Merc had to say it appears that Tyler was cruising the parks for sub-14 year-old boys.  Too mad he wasn't hooping it up in NoCal, no one would have noticed one more gay child molester up there.

And I'm calling "BS" on his dad's "legally I can't talk about it" line.  Just because the records are sealed doesn't mean he can't talk about what happened, he'd be fine so long as he didn't identify his son's victims.
