I'm confused that a brand new head coach who has basically said that every position is up for grabs, and who supposedly is el_leader numero uno, has failed to motivate several of his starters enough to show up to day one of practice in good enough shape to pass a conditioning test.  i'm confused that he has chosen to bring their failure to the media instead of handling it internally and motivating them through internal channels, ie in the locker room and via teammates.  i'm confused that throughout this summer he's stressed leadership yet where were the leaders on our team, why were they not pushing their teammates to get their asses in gear?  i'm confused that you can't figure out why i'm confused.

i really don't think this is that big of an issue, so finally, and as the name of this thread indicates...
-i'm confused why he choose to make it one.

There are all sorts of different ways to motivate people.  I suspect he believes that making this information public is a very good one.  That seems reasonable to me.  No one, neither Prince nor the players, has really failed at anything of significance yet.  This seems like it is probably just part of Prince's way of attempting to ensure that people don't fail when it really counts.  I don't think that it casts a bad light on Prince at all.  He is giving himself a ready-made excuse that Snyder's players wouldn't do what was required of them.  And that's probably true to a degree.  The past two years were not just the result of bad luck.

Well one thing I'd be willing to bet my next paycheck on, that Snyder and Prince have in common on this particular issue is, they're gonna do it the way they think best and they really don't give a $hit what any bbs poster thinks about it.
