Controversy over in Topeka

I don't know how many of you have heard, but for the last several months the city commission has wanted to purchase a 2nd police helicopter, but it has been vetoed multiple times by the mayor.  He believes it is a waste of taxpayer money.  It probably is, because not even cities like KC and Denver have 2.  Well, last night the controversy abruptly ended when the one the city has had to make a crash landing in a parking lot on the Washburn campus.  All 3 officers were ok.  Mayor will probably sign that one now.

What is it with Topeka crashing god damned helicopters?  Haven't they lost, like, half of their police force in helicopter related accidents.  They should just get a horse imo.

Within hours of the mayor shooting down the new heli purchase....  I was laughing pretty good when I heard that this morning.  Listen, if any of you think your city/county governments are lousy, you don't have anything on Topeka.  They make the Keystone Cops look like a squad of Navy SEALS.

This is kinda like when your a kid and you want a new bike and mom and dad say "no, yours is just fine" so what do you do ? Tear the holy living crap out of it until you dont have a bike that is fine anymore. Only my parents made me walk then
