We're well below average these days.

And since we're not communists we can't lie about how much we really spend.

If by "well below average" you mean near World War II levels, then yes, you are right.

    The very best.
And we are still getting our asses handed to us in Iraq.

Good stuff. Keep it up terrorists.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

KSU Econ 101:  The day we become a 3rd world country is the day we cannot repay our debts and US Bonds become worthless pieces of paper.  The neocons have us teetering on the brink of that situation thanks to policies that started in the Reagan administration.

But we can't blame Regan for the military-industrial complex.  That started under our friend FDR, but I think we can excuse him given the situation.  Eisenhower warned us of it, LBJ made it worse and Regan took it to a whole new level.

The evil Bill Clinton gutted the military  :runaway:

W um yeah well   :chainsaw:

don't forget that we would choose our leaders from among a small group of oligarchic families who would pass the presidential baton between them.
