okay, I don't want to see your legs broken.  Another solid game.

7 points, 4 boards, 4 assists, 3 Steals, 1 turnover.

But hey, he wouldn't see the floor anywhere else.

Good to see Young playing well.  He was our best guard by far last night.

Young's A&M line:

8 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 turnover.

He wouldn't see the floor anywhere else.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
The thing Blake has been best at is not hurting KSU on offense.  Based on his jump shooting ability, his usage statistic is right about where it should be (lowest on the team).

http://www.kenpom.com/sr.php?team=Kansas%20St.

He doesn't shoot much besides wide open threes and layups, which is awesome for him, espcially since he plays defense and rebounds pretty well for a guard.

Agreed Rusty.

3 Assists, 0 turnovers at OU.

Young has a 3.66:1 assist to turnover ratio in conference play.

He's also averaging about 5 boards a game in Big 12 play.

I think Blake is actually pretty good. He's quick as sh$t. He's one of those guys, that can chase down a fast break and take a charge. He does it every game.  Every team needs a guy like him

He struggled to find his role last year and early this year, but he's really come into his own lately. He's hit big shots, shuts down guys, and is IMO the 3rd (could even argue 2nd) best rebounder on the team. Role player doing exactly what he needs to do to get on the court and help the team win.

Blake is huge for this team.  Only good on ball dedender we've got and he just scraps and hustles.  His game isn't scoring but that is fine on this team with Beasley and Walker we don't need a lot of other guys to score.  My only nit pick on Blake is he misses too many layups.  If he could finish around the rim he'd be a total stud and score 15 a game.

He was a primary scorer in JC, and had to learn that wasn't his best fit in the Big XII.  I understand why it took him a while, and it says a lot that he switched roles so successfully.

Still, there was one fast break where I was looking for the mega-dunk, and he layed it in.  I really want to see him on a wide open one.

I agree with this.  I like seeing guys work hard like he does on the court.

I think he wanted to- if we're thinking of the same breakaway late in the 1st or early in the 2nd half.  He was running pretty fast and as hard as he plays I don't think he had the legs.  He yelled as he went up and afterwards like, damn I want to dunk this but my legs are cashed.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I want somebody to break dax's fingers so he can't post anymore.

Hey, he's banned everywhere else.
Welcome back, Bill.

Anyone see when the A&M player clearly called Blake a "bitch" on TV after he blocked his shot?  Blake's hustle and effort for loose balls and on D was beautiful after that.
Recruiting is just a big tease.

Yes it does.  Anyone who doesn't love to see Young on the court just hates sports ... and is probably a damn commie too.  :skillz:

He should have yelled this exact phrase on the way up so that we would know why he didn't dunk it.

He probably saw Roby stuffed by the rim earlier in the game and remembered that he was on the tube nationwide.

His hustle was the first thing I noticed on the A&M vid.  Great to see.  And the layup instead of the dunk, well, I'd rather have the 2pts than have this happen.

One of the rebounds he had, his hand was way above the rim.  Too bad he was being chased from behind on that layup, but I'm still waiting for something like his jumpstop dunk attempt he tried last year.
