    me ten years from now
I'll admit ive givin up on thie year and with Seniors Marcus Watts Jordy Nelson Steven Cline and a few others how do we replace them and i name these three for key reasons one even though Marcus does not play every snap he is the emotional leader of the defense unless someone were to argue with Ian Campbell. 2 Jordy Nelso is the only steady recieving target we have so who do we replace him with. 3 Steven Cline is going to be a big loss for that defense hes big stong and plugs up the middle fairly well we can't expect him to do it by his self can we ? thoughts?

Thank God Marcus will be gone next year.
Yes losing Jordy and Cline will hurt, but we should still improve next year overall. Some key guys that are injured coming back and hopefully Josh Moore gets his crap together. Our line should improve a little bit next year, but nothing that dramatic.
Losing McKinney will hurt, he has had an unexpectedly great season. Patton will be fun to watch as the full time starter but he really needs to improve on his vision, he has great upside though w/ his burst and tackle breaking ability. Freeman will naturally improve a little bit. IDK how Murphy will be as our #1 receiver, I think he's a great #2 guy but I'm skeptical if he's the #1 option. Hopefully Lamark will learn to catch the ball, and if not we need to move his ass to LB. And we need to get bigger on the D-Line or we will still suck against the run. Losing Watts will help alot though for the overall defense. Lastly, I'd like to see us go after a couple big WR's kinda like what ku has done. Henry is 6'4 and I think Brescoe is atleast 6'3.

McKinney will be the 2nd biggest loss on this team, slightly behind Jordy. He is probably one of the best CB in the big 12.
Campbell has shown NOTHING this year.
Watts blows.

I'm hoping that our run blocking will continue to improve so we can have a more reliable running game to take the stress off the passing game.  When this happens, you don't need a Jordy Nelson making one handed grabs to convert third downs.  Just look at ku or a lot of other teams.  Even Auburn for instance.  Neither team has a Jordy Nelson but their running games make their passing game easier by forcing the defense to creep up(nothing that nobody doesn't know already).  If Prince can get a bunch of Joe Caps run blocking the way he does on film, we won't need to have an All American wide receiver to lean on every play.    We are obviously passing so much, even substituting the run with short passes to the flats, because we simply aren't a good run blocking team right now.
Show me defense.

    The "other" KSU
We need at least half of the defense to step up next year (at a minimum). If we have 2 recievers that are each almost as good as Jordy, we'll be fine. I have no clue what happened with the running game.

To me it seems that many of the players that we all said "Ooooo wait until next year, he will be a STUD" took a gigantic $hit on us. pathetic.
