One win over a team with a winning record, one horribly embarrasing loss.  The offense was worse, but the defense was better than today's.

    I miss him ^^
God I wish we could have played that schedule this year.  My guess is we would end up with the exact same result (win/loss) as '93.  Except we would beat CU in OT.

Have you seen the 1993 highlight reel on DoD?

The offense looks identical to what we're running now.

May over Freeman
Lockett, Andre Coleman, Mitch Running, Tyson Schweiger Over Jordy, Murphy and Gonzo
JJ Smith, Rod Schiller, Leon Edwards slightly over James Johnson and Leon (If we were willing to run that would likely change)
Both teams feature backs are JJ's and little Leon in relief
Seib was the TE (Seems like we have about 5 on the field in the Prince Coast Offense)

No comparison to a Leavitt-Stoops defense vs this mess
Special Teams- Murphy, Jordy, Johnson even better than Coleman

Teams played:
Non Con- Auburn better than Minnesota, other teams equal
Con- NU was # 2 in country and we played them ultra close (Chad had close to 500 yards passing) in Lincoln, NU got cheap td with under a minute to play
CU was a lot better
ku was decent, not like this chick team, more like last year
OU- a similar team to OSU this year, we spanked em in Manhattan 21-7 GREAT WIN
MU- Lame duck coach Bob Stull, no defense and team was horrid
ISU- Bad road loss, that one game still really is a killer 14 years later
OSU- Okay team, great comeback win, set the stage for future KSU rallies

Killed a good Wyoming team in Copper Bowl
9-2-1 seemed like the greatest season we could ever have

1993 didn't lose to a 1-8 team. I don't like this argument.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

LOL. No they weren't. They just knew how to win, which is the bottom-line.

The 1993 team was much better on offense than this year's team.  I watched it in person...not on DVD.

Judge "scoring?"  Is that what this entire thread is about?   :jerkoff:

    Fear the Brick
The defensive ppg are what have seperated all the teams since 2003.  Prior to 2004, the last team to give up more than 20ppg was the 1992 team.  Since 2003, we've give up 30.6, 27.7, 23.8, and this year we've given up 22.6.  The defense sucks, until it's fixed it won't really matter that we're putting up 36.7ppg (thus far most since 2002) this year.

Losing to 2-7 ISU was very comparable to losing to 1-8 ISU.

LOL. You didn't think much of W'ls and L's during Jim's tenure.

It's all about the defense.  I'd take 93 over 07 in a heartbeat.

Colston, Mendez, Randolph, Gordon.  Cripes, Dirk Ochs was far more productive than any DL from the 07 squad.

Special teams are close to a wash.  Offenses really are very similar.

KSU went 1-1-1 against teams that combined for a 28-7-1 record.  LOL . . . I remember how pissed off Jaime Mendez was after Snyder decided to go for the tie against CU.   That game as many will recall had the greatest catch in KSU history with K Lockett.
