    The very best.
this is Wooly's best team.

Sometimes your anti-woolitesness knows no bounds.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Last year's team was better:

Stewart vs. Stewart:  He didn't do anything last year, doesn't do anything this year
Peete vs. Harris:  Peete >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lance
Martin vs. Martin:  If healthy, he would have been 3rd team All B12.
Hoskins vs. J-Will:  Slight edge to Hoskins
Massey vs. Diarra:  Please.

League was tougher last year.
Last year's team didn't have any great wins (ku), but it didn't have any horrible losses, either (NIU, NU).

IMHO, Rutgers at home and CU in Manhattan were in the same league as NIU and NU.

Nothing close to winning in ku last year.

Really can't make a true assessment yet though, everything else is pretty equal so far.

This team defends better.

The offense is better simply b/c of the new system.

Plus I don't agree who you're comparing.

Combo of Stewart and Taybron better than just Stewart.

Combo of Akeem and Lance might be slightly worse than Peete and Lance.  If Lance comes on, maybe better.  Akeem is a better defender than Peete was.

Hoskins healthy possibly better than Martin hurt last year.  Probably a draw.

Martin this year overall better than Massey IMO.  They are essentually playing the same position this year.

Diarra/Hughes just as good or better than (consistently) Williams/Hughes.

Bench with Harris, Allen, Sky, Taybron, Hughes better than essentually Harris, Hughes, Sky last year.

If this team wins 8 or more league games I will consider them a better team that last year's group.

The new system should have been in place last year.

Combo oif Stewart and Peete is better than Stewart and Taybron.

Akeem is a marginally better defender, but he doesn't do us any good on the bench most of the game.  Lance vs. Peete is no contest.

If you're factoring in injuries, I guess that makes sense.

Massey was the 4/5 last year.  Martin is still basically a 3.  It probably would have been better to compare Hoskins to Massey.  Unless you're Jason Whitlock, there's still no contest.

I'd say it's a draw.  If Williams played all year like he did the last 5 or 6 games, that team is possibly dancing.

True.  I think Allen should have played more last year.

We're basically on the same page.  I think 8 wins this year = 6 wins last year.

last year's team "should have" won 8 games in a tougher league than this year's big 12.  they "should have" been a better team than this year's squad.  with a healthy martin and a happy williams all year they probably would have been a tourney team.  but, oh well.  the past is the past.  this team, whether better or worse than last year's squad, has a legit chance to be a tourney team as well.

why not wait and see if they manage to do so before trying to determine their rank among recent ksu teams.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
