They beat us last year.

Lotsa differences and such from last year.  What I'm really interested in is how effective the 3-4 is at stopping the spread.  If I remember right that's one of the reasons Prince gave for the switch.

They average just as much passing yardage a game as we do...but they can't run it. They didn't run it on the Buffs anyway.

We'll keep the score close if Mastrud greases up his hands again...but we're 14-17 points better than Baylor at home before the game starts. It's up to Kstate to focus, play crisp, and find some answers in special teams coverage.

Huge return by Baylor.  Got outside of Watts.  Seriously, is he still hurt?  He has been sucking ever since they put him on the poster.

From the sound of the Baylor broadcast, he should have 2 or 3 picks by now.

Against good teams, Freeman raises his game. Against bad teams, not so much.

    The "other" KSU
Well it seems we put the hammer down - took JF out CC fumbled the ball when it should have been a 1st down and Baylor gets a cheap LOOOONG TD against Gary Chandler. MAN, that sucks ass - I HATE giving away free points to a team like Baylor...

if prince would let coffman throw a pass, that wouldn't have happened.  apparently you can't throw a pass for KSU unless you are the starting QB or a WR

If Coffman didn't suck(turning the ball over in one of the few plays called for him all year) he might get a chance to throw the ball.

He fumbles hand-offs and snaps in multiple games and you want him to heave it down-field?  Wow.  Yeah, ahhm let's just punt it on first downs, we'd have better field position.

you'd make a great head coach.  you really would.  i can't believe how great you'd be at it...with logic like that.  really good.  so if josh gets injured, we run the ball 80 times a game.  we wouldn't lose.  why don't we do that now?

If Josh went down, we'd have JJ or Jordy take snaps before Coffman.  The funny part is I'm not even kidding.

i'm just saying - they're up by 30+ so it doesn't mean anything anymore, might as well let the kid throw it so he can get some reps throwing into space, reading coverages and practicing his counts against a real defense.  he is the no. 2 QB and the staff isn't doing him any favors by only allowing him to hand it off.

Dude.  You're defending Coffman.  He can't even play 10 plays without coughing up the ball.  What the hell is the point in "getting him reps" if he can't even retain possession for a drive?

i'm not defending coffman - you're just missing the point of what i'm saying.  he's not going to get better or get more comfortable out there if the staff treat him like he's special ed.  don't you think it's a little troubling that our no. 2 QB has only been allowed to make 5 passes this season?

They put him in the game and he immediately turned the ball over.  It isn't like they weren't trying to get him reps.  You can argue they should've thrown him back out there, but he went 1-3 for 8 yards and a fumble for a turnover.  I think the plan is to do everything we can to keep Coffman off the field.  Because the evidence is in on his competency.

i'm not saying let him get get 20 snaps at the end of the game - i'm saying let him throw a respectable amount of whatever snaps he gets.  that fumble was on a weird QB sneak play.  if we got our lower string RBs in there with him, then by all means, hand the ball off.  but we still got JJ and LP out there so what good does it do to get them the ball some more?  they don't need the reps.

Trey..why the &@#% would we have him throw the ball?  It stops the clock if he misses and there's a chance he could throw an interception and let the opponent back in the game.

To develop him?  Why?  Freeman's only a soph.  And that's what practice is for anyways, not games.  Besides, I don't think Carson will be a starter in any game throughout his college career.  There's a reason he was a borderline D-1 prospect.  He's a career backup at best.
