Tricks to winning Big 12 and which coaches have done a poor job seeing this.

1. run the ball
2. Don't let your eyes light up when you see a 60 yard bomb. You need to play defense.
3. Recruit Juco players. They may not be the star, but they add depth, and help with holding down a d-line.
4. Play many players, college is too short, depth must be there.
5. Recruit fast
This is the key to developing a good team. Ideas by Ron Prince

Gundy == OSU, appears to have forgot the basics in defense, but like that Gundy is   developing depth for next year.
Missouri== Will not be doing anything this year due to lack of defense, look at last year. Don't run the ball enough and Temple is not the answer.
Nebraska== Too slow on defense, could be Cosgrove, but the defense looks slow. USC could not even run on IDAHO like that and they were at home. Callahan has been taught well but he doesn't have the talent to be an amazing coach.
Mack Brown== Great recruit but seems to be unable to develop a defense of late, enough speed but seems to be a poor motivator.
Stoops== Best coach in Big 12, plays you hard and knows his stuff.
Mangino== Good coach, when they use to be able to run the ball, but lately has been going to the pass, I just don't feel they can play that way with the lack of recruits.
ISU== Chizik won against IOWA with a sound d-fensive plan.
