I was at the K-state Alumni picnic  in Denver today and ther was someone who gave a speach about KSU sports.  When talking about basketball he said that Bill Walker when asked about ku said "We don't even call them ku anymore.  We call them the little girls down the road"  He also said that they have said next year at alumni events to make room for the big 12 trophey and the national championship trophey.  I love positive attitudes but maybe we should make a Ncaa tourney before we talk about National Championships.  And maybe we should have a better record than 39-1 in the last 40 years before we start  calling ku little girls.

Good call.  You are so right.  I guess getting two degrees, giving 50k in tuition, going to 4 bowl games, my grandfather playing at Ksu, my dad owning a bar in Aggieville, going to Ksu watch parties in Denver, being a paying alumni association member, traveling to Texas, Mizzou, Boulder, Nebraska, Auburn, Marshall, KC twice, and stillwater for regular season games doesn't give me the right to say "we".  I guess having a clear mind about sports makes me a sock.?  How about you get back to me when you earn your stripes.

Come on man. You do know that we play ku twice a year in basketball right? Maybe you don't. One of the benefits of living in Denver is you can blame the high altitude for cognitive inactivity.

No blaming the free beer at the alumni event for typing years instead of games.  and Steve Dave earning you stripes means actually have the time invested to know wtf you are talking about instread of just blindly yapping your mouth.  And great usage of rofl.  I'm glad to see the remedial text messaging class is paying off. Jk u no u r a bff.

B/c I was at an Ksu event where I had heard news to me from Ksu employees.  I thought even though I personally thought the statements were a little extreame that fans on a Ksu website would like to hear what was said at a Ksu event.  I do apologize if: you all had heard this talk allready from other events, no one cares what ksu players are saying, if the basketball team is actually going to win the NC, or if while I wasn't paying attention ku had recruited little girls.

1) there is even a button for quoting!  not hard
2) to the board: gopo+contact high from CU = current poster's ability?
3) Bill has been calling them girls for a little bit, not new news
4) what bar and why haven't you offered ksufans.com discount?
Be a winner today

more like LOL for being the one in the family that did nothing.

LOL.  What do you think Cooper thought when they asked the whole Manning family to be in that ESPN commercial where Peyton and Elie are grab assing during the tour?  Do you think he got like, extra, pay?  I bet Peyton and Elie each made $50k-$100k, Archie made $25k, the mother made $10k and Cooper got free lunch.

"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
