K-State sophomore quarterback Josh Freeman hasn't thrown a TD pass since the Wildcats' dramatic win against Texas last season, when he tossed three while going 19-of-31 for 269 yards. The streak should end Saturday. San Jose State allowed 270 passing yards in last week's loss at Arizona State.
2) K-State's running game
The Wildcats rushed for only 27 yards against Auburn's stout front seven, but expect James Johnson, Leon Patton and Co. to get the running game back on track this week. SJSU allowed 270 rushing yards last week. If K-State struggles to run against the Spartans, Freeman's strong right arm may have to carry an enormous load this season.
