And if it's not sponsored by the NCAA, then it is not an NCAA sport. That should be pretty simple to understand. But the fact your trying (and failing) to hang your hat on equestrian makes me chuckle.
Nobody above claimed that equestrian was an NCAA-sanctioned sport. If that is what you wanted to prove, you should have said that in your first post. The idea it is not a "team sport" is false, however. K-State provides 15 full scholarships to equestrian, and those scholarships apply toward fulfilling Title IX requirements. The sport gets major funding from all 23 schools that participate in it. At least K-State actually has some recent national champions. ku seems to be relying on ancient history in that department. A large chunk of your student body was not even born in 1988.
First it was "KSU hasn't won an NC in ANY sport." (Nevermind the 39 National Championships won by individual track & field athletes in K-State history including Scott Sellers this year as linked to above)
Then it was "KSU hasn't won an NC in any TEAM sport". (Nevermind the equestrian team)
Both allegations by ku fans were proven wrong. Usually it is their opinions that we have to prove wrong. Now it is supposed statements of fact that have to be disproven. Next thing you know these people will be telling the world that ku football has in fact done better than 3-5 at some point in Big 12 conference play.
