There's an article in today's KC Star previewing the kickers, or a lack of a definite starter, and since this could be a crucial position I'll name the candidates and you all tell me what you think:

Jared Parker
Brooks Rossman
Tim Schwerdt
Josh Cherry

Parker has become more of a kickoff specialist. Rossman hasn't had many opportunities. Schwerdt is the most experienced guy. Cherry enters as the No. 12 kicker in the nation according to Rivals.com.

At least two sources, Parker and Jeff Snodgrass, think that Rossman will be the starter for the Auburn game. Snodgrass said that his range is within 55 yards.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Rossman is probably the guy...but I think Cherry is more accurate but with less range.

Let's let the new NCAA '08 decide. Whoever has the highest ratings is the guy.

Seriously, top kickers in the last 10 years:

1. Martin
2. Jamie Rheem
3. Snodgrass.

No kidding.

We're going to lose at least one game because our kicker(s) suck.  Also, I think we'll either run a FR or RSFR out there as the long snapper.

i usually don't agree with you catzacker, but that is QFT.  the kicking game is always vastly underrated.

Parker is the only one on there and Reyer handles the kick off duty.
