off the top of my head I'd have to challenge having Auburn, Fla St., and damn sure ND ahead of us.  Although Fla St has probably been hiding behind over-rating in the polls for most of the time.

We should be ahead of Auburn as well. Well, I guess that's debatable
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Think of it this way who would be head of K-State. (in no particular order)

1. USC
2. Texas
3. Ohio State
4, Florida State
5. Oklahoma
6. Nebraska
7. Michigan
8. Miami
9. LSU
10. Auburn
11. Wisconsin
12. Virginia tech
13. Florida
14. Notre Dame

I could see us ahead of 1 or two of these.  Who is left?

Georgia, Penn state, Iowa, Tennesee, Minnesota, Washington, Boston College, maryland, Arknsas

Did I forget anyone?

Arkansas, Washington, and Minnesota have all been on the list already.  Washington and Minnesota were below #50, in fact.  I see us ranked in the 10 to 15 range, although you never know with national media bias traditionally being against K-State.

Speaking of national media bias...Notre Dame will likely flex their national media bias by being ahead of us.

I think ND will be behind us.  What have they done lately?  I mean really?

I think between 11-15 would be fair.

I had a dream that we were 15 so I'm pretty sure that's where we'll be.

Kind of diasapointing. I don't think there is any doubt if you are putting the last 10 years all equal, that we should be ahead of WVU and Louisville.

Does anyone else realize we are 7-8 vs the other teams in the top 5 during the past 10 years? Pretty amazing.

    It's time to hit it.
as stated above #20.

KSU #20  "Who could imagine Kansas State rebuilding? Bill Snyder turned the ne'er-do-wells into a Big 12 powerhouse, peaking with three North titles and the 2003 conference championship. Ron Prince is the rebuilder, but in facilities Snyder made possible before retiring in 2005."

Nebraska T13 "The Huskers shared the 1997 national championship with Michigan. Frank Solich maintained the success for four seasons, but they haven't been the Mighty Huskers since."

OU #5 "The Sooners won one national championship and played for another. Even after vacating eight victories at the NCAA's behest, coach Bob Stoops is averaging nearly 10 wins a year."

Texas #3 "Vast resources and vaster tradition. Coach Mack Brown has brought back the Darrell Royal touch with the common folk, and he wins like Royal, too."

I can live with #20.

I'd add VT to that list....how do they get number 12 with 0 national titles, 0 conference titles, and a .500 winning percentage?

Because those #'s are wrong.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Should've been a little higher. But it's good that we can still brag about the top 20.
