I would assume that the reason we aren't going for Darius Parish is because we feel like we have a good shot at Tony Gillespie!

That really is not a smart approach if it is true. People keep telling me we aren't going to run the 3-4 all the time. If we aren't, then we need 4 DTs to make up a respectable depth chart. Assuming all our guys make the grade, the depth chart for Parish's first year on a college campus will look something like this. Sr-Balkcom, Moran, Abana; Jr-Finau; So-Crews and Kendall; Fr-Stewart
Our depth chart is so upperclassmen heavy that it needs to be more adequatedly allocated with close to equal distribution in each class. So what if we are in good shape with Gillispie? Is there a rule we can't sign two high school def tackels?
We aren't in good shape with Gillispie either. This is one of the few times I am not speculating on a recruit.
