http://cjonline.com/stories/051507/cat_169964754.shtmlK-State basketball coach Frank Martin will announce his spring signees on Wednesday, assistant sports information director Tom Gilbert said Monday.
The class is expected to include Victor Dubovitsky, a 6-7 forward from Chipola (Fla.) College; Jamar Samuels, a 6-8 forward from The Patterson School in Lenoir, N.C.; and Andre Gilbert, a 6-7 guard from Mount San Jacinto (Calif.) College.
Martin also will announce Josh Oppenheimer as assistant coach and address other roster changes. With seven players who have signed or committed and eight underclassmen on last year's roster, the Wildcats appear to be over the NCAA scholarship allotment of 13.
Freshman center Jason Bennett asked to be released from his scholarship agreement last month.
Stay tuned for an update on that request and an additional roster move.Martin is taking part in a Catbacker tour this week. He was in Dodge City on Monday and will be in Garden City today.
Is another surprise coming?
