Did anyone go to the K-state/OU game two years ago?  I did.

If so, do you remember that loud explosion?  I remember freakin' out when I heard the noise, but I looked around and noticed that none of the sooner fans were worried or even looked like they had noticed anything happened.  I remember saying the exact words "Well, if they're not worried, then we probably don't have anything to worry about.  Must've been some fireworks that went off early or something.."  We all got back to the game.  (A horrible, HORRIBLE game btw, but that's a different story.)

Turns out a kid had blown himself up not too far away from the stadium.  And also that he tried to get into the stadium, where if the bomb had gone off could have killed hundreds/thousands of people, but the security wouldn't let him in with his backpack.

Well, now OU is erecting a memorial/statue on campus for this kid.

Maybe it's just me, but I think erecting a memorial for a kid that tried to kill me is &@#%ing insane.

That is insane, I hope Oklahoman's are the ones paying for this, and not a federal project.  Weird that people would honor an attempted suicide bomber, when does Timothy McVeigh get his statue?

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I didn't go to the game but I do remember hearing about that shortly after the game.  It was true.

punter that forgot to show up on 4th down.......

PS. I was also at that game, and remember all the
cops in that blocked off area when we left the stadium.

    DOD Take Two
That is a little crazy. Kind of like how the Shockers erected a statue of a millipede on their campus. It was either that or a SafeRide program.

Because of him, I couldn't get a pass to leave at halftime to get a beer (or 6) which was definitely needed after the first half.

    shame on you, non-believers
I was in Norman for the game, but we couldn't get tickets, so we watched it at a bar across the street.

Negative: the game sucked.
Positive: the OU fans in the bar took pity on us (the only K-State fans in that particular establishment) and bought us drink after drink all night long.

This has about as much relevance to this thread as another Prague story.

I watched this game half passed out on my coach couch from drinking all day long.  I think I got up around half time and made a couple of grilled cheese sammys for dinner and maybe poured yet another vodka.  Can't remember what else I did later than night but I think I went out with the GF after el-gamo was el-overo and hung outo.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

No I'm not a prince with a coach/horse drawn carriage.  It was a simple typo on my part, I will go back and edit my faux pas as to not confuse any of our cubs.
