Wondering if any1 knows... are we, or would we ever consider him at QB? Is anyone else offering him for that position? He wants to play it, but I'm not sure he'll get that wish unless he goes mid-major on it.

Seen the kid play several games.  They aren't running much of a conventional system at NW, more like just get the ball in our best player's (Harper) hands as many times a game as possible.  Kinda hard to judge what sort of a D1 QB he could be beacuse of it.  On the flip side, the last QB to run this type of offense at NW went on to a hell of a college career and is now starting OLB for the Browns.

Let him come here and compete for QB, see what happens.  Worse case senario, we have to move him to another position which he seems willing to do if the QB thing works out.

But I am fine with letting him try out for QB...whatever gets him in Purple!

Don't get me wrong... I think Harper would be a great addition to the team. I just don't know how feasible the QB position will be for him... here or anywhere else. I'm doubtful Prince will offer him that position, because he's a straight-up guy. However, some other team might give him the smooth talk...

Who knows.. maybe he'd be ok at QB. ???

It's open competition at every position.  Ask J-Mart.

How do you know he won't come in and beat out Josh Freeman?  Get the guy in purple and let him win any position he wants.

Tight End.

Probably a little too short, and not quite big enough to be much of a blocker.  I just don't see the TE position as the best way to use his athletic ability.  I'm thinking WR or safety, he can honestly think about himself in terms of an NFL player at those two positions.

Yeh, he actually had about the same amount of yards passing as running.

Harper the starting QB spot and move Freeman to tight end (nubbies knew all along that was his real position) . . .

Put him at wideout and let him throw the ball every once in a while on trick plays.  We know Prince loves running them.  I think the only people who don't like our trick plays are Texas fans.
