CU QB, 5'11" Cody Hawkins, may be starting for the Buffs HC Dan Hawkins, Cody's father.  To complement Cody's towering physique is a weak arm and lethargic running.  But he could be their man!

I think I read that Bernard Jackson was named a co-captain for the upcoming year.

PLEASE let him be the starting QB in 2007.

I don't want to chance Jackson having a Roberson like year.  He is a good athlete.

I think Bernard could be decent with some athletes around him.

He showed a few flashes of being decent in losing efforts last year.


I don't think Bernard will ever be as good as Roberson though. Roberson had some open field moves that you can't coach. Also, NO WAY Hawkins runs the ball with his QB like Kstate did from '01-'03.

Considering CU's record last season, Jackson put up some decent numbers.  But he won't ever be a Roberson.

At the risk of sounding like I'm geting bent out of shape about CU, (they're pretty low on my worries list) but if Jackson moves to WR that leaves that leaves RSF Cody Hawkins, some 3* true freshman, and a JUCO transfer that looks like Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket.    Go Buffs!

Until CU raises their level of play and is competitive within the Big XII again, they are the Muffs.  They will earn "B" back once they win four games.

That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen....

- when you stop and think about it - if "daddy" does make the switch at QB and they still suck (which I think they will) - Jackson would have to be really pissed that he wasn't really given a chance since CU version of the golden child finally graduated from HS. - either way...they will suck and they will have another season like last year.
