He is playing for the white team.
For those going to to game, keep an eye out.
He just might be the next Jordy Nelson.

He's been running at probably the #5 or 6 WR this spring.

WR depth:
Nelson
Gonzalez
Wilson
Purvis
Coleman
Wykes

i have a friend who goes to MHS that says that some freshman kid is the fastest person he's ever seen, but isn't out for track, he's a fb player...

might be a fresh next year, i dont remember... also, riley has some athletes that will be coming up next year that will be interesting to see if they make it in mcgraw/nelson footsteps

The kid your talking about was a freshman this year.  He ran under 11 in the 100 as an 8th grader.  I think he played JV for Manhattan last year.

yea, sounds right. my friend's gonna be a sr wr next year, and he said the kid is working out with them in conditioning after school... says he goes faster and harder and longer than anyone out there... too bad its mhs and they'll move him to qb and he'll just run the option the whole time

Great size for a WR......kind of has a TE's body. In High School I know that he was a pretty big Nebraska fan, but the only thing that matters now is that he is a wildcat.

So, was Wykes a WR or QB at Butler?  I know he played QB in highschool.  I hope it doesn't come into play but QB is a position we could use depth at.

Pretty sure he was playing QB at Butler.

Boy, looks like Prince and Co. are really interested in tall/physical QB's & WR's:

QB Josh Freeman-6'6" 255 pounds, also recruitment of many 6'5" QB's in this years class

WR's over 6'2":
Coleman
Gonzalez
Wykes
Nelson
Lamark Brown
Ernie Pierce

Maybe the next Daniel Gonzales but I doubt the next Jordy.  Doesn't have that kind of speed but still a good walk on to have in the program.

That Eck kid started QB for Butler the last two years.  Maybe he backed up Eck.

I knew him when he was a little kid, before I graduated high school. My mom kept telling me he was pretty good in football, but I had no idea.

Didn't he graduate from Conway Springs?

&@#%ing sweet.  I remember reading an article on him in the Mercury.  Didn't they have him at about a 10.6-10.8?  That is ridiculous.  Hatter would be proud!

So he should be pretty damn good as a junior/senior?  What's his height/weight?

Their 3rd string RB was a kid named Darren?? Seiwert, I think.  Pretty sure he was from Conway.  Yeah, he was 3rd string, but got quite a few carries (blowouts, mostly) and looked pretty good.  Not Patton good or anything, but pretty good low-level D1 good.
