    I miss him ^^
We could really use a shooter next year on our team, but I want to take it one step further.  I want someone to be able to hit some threes coming off a screen or off the dribble.  Harris and Martin could only hit the three when they were set and someone fed them the ball.  Just one time I want to be able to see someone dribble the ball up the court and just raise up and nail a three in someone's eye at the top of the key.

Lance kept us in the UT game the first half.

He was ridiculously good that game.

And then he dissapeared the second half.  Like usual.......

I forgive him though, because if he doesn't catch fire the first half, we lose by 20.

He hit a couple more threes in the 2nd.  The announcers went from hating him, to ackowledging his pressence, to kissing his ass.  At the begining of the game he made a lay-up on an assist from Hoskins and they only mentioned Hoskins.  After his first few 3's the announcers began to talk about him, then after hitting one in the 2nd half they were like, "Another 3 from you know who!"  He was amazing most of that game.  When he disappered it was for full games?

He disappeared quick in the last ku game.

I agree that Cartier was our shooter last year.  He certainly didn't do much else.

Cartier's best game, hands down, in his career vs. OU on senior day. 30 points 6 rebounds and played great defense on Griffin & downlow in the lowpost.

cartier could score from anywhere on the floor, and that is huge.  he got a lot of scap buckets in the paint, and forced defenders to guard him beyond the 3pt line.

hoskins success down low was in part due to martin's ability to pull defenses out.  it would be a mistake to underestimate what martin did for this team.

We're all agreed then...we should've redshirted Cartier this past year.  He would fit in great with next year's team.  Lance has alot of talent...he just couldn't get his confidence and mental parts of the game together.  He turned himself into a spot up shooter and reduced his own role.   He had the talent and ability to be a slasher and score off the move, he just drove Wooly and Huggs crazy because he fell in love with the 3 and pidgeon-holed himself into the 3 pt specialist role...even though he was only a fair 3 pt shooter and was way too streaky.  Wooly counted on him as an offensive weapon and he failed Wooly.  Then Huggs tried to develop him into the 3rd scorer position, but he didn't respond to Huggins brow-beating approach and disappeared for most of the season.  What a shame, we could've used a slasher, and a 3rd scorer badly!
