Yeah.  He talked to FM and apologized b/c he thinks a lot of this backlash is b/c of what he did on his show the other day.

Frank (quoted by Kevin, not an interview) said he wouldn't defend it and mistakes were made.  He also pointed out the principal who fired him had to sign off on all the kids who "moved" into the district. 

Pointed out the worthlessness of the Miami "paper".

Pointed out the Star never wrote about ku probation, Quin Snyder, etc.

He pointed out that not once has the Star ever brought in somebody from the outside to write about any other "scandal" in the KC sports market.  Scandals in the KC sports market the last 25 years would include ku basketball getting sanctioned twice, MU basketball getting sanctioned twice, Royals drug scandal, Chief players in trouble, Rush/Williams/Grant/Piggie amongst other things.

Actually, just the opposite.  His story villifies him and during the interview he back pedals and says he's not a bad guy and doesn't think he'll cheat.  He wouldn't give a straight answer regarding the Piggy vs Martin comparison.  He totally downplayed the recruiting situation during that interview.
