When Snyder first came, Kansas State's football program was on life support and it had no tradition. That is no longer the case. With the success Kansas State had since the early nineties, it's not like you are starting all over with Prince. Kansas State now has a football tradition, so even if Prince doesn't work out, the next coach can build off of it. Snyder made KSU a winner, so even if you have bad seasons, you won't fall back into the pre-1990's, IMO.

Nebraska wasn't exactly a powerhouse before Devaney. It wasn't the end of the world with Solich either.

I guess what I am trying to say is, your program is going to be okay. Rutgers was a legit top 15 team and you guys had a new coach and a lot of inexperienced players. That game seems to be affecting the mood of your fan base, which had been ecstatic right before it.

Basically, your inexperienced team played a team that was way too good to be in that bowl. It would be like if the huskers had to play LSU in their bowl last season. Auburn had a great defense, but their offense wasn't going to blow you off the field and it wasn't good enough to exploit the rough husker secondary.

The flashes your team showed against Colorado, Oklahoma State, and Texas were legit, IMO.

Well, I'm sorry if I over-stepped. I was just surprised that a lot of your fans seem down on your football program right now.

Coming here to gauge the "mood" of the fanbase about the football program is like going to Baghdad and being surprised that the world is so violent.

Given the choice between talking to our fans about football and another fanbase about football, I would always choose another fan base. The conversations are always more interesting because they have a different point of view.

Talking with a fellow fan like you is meaningless because you never say ANYTHING worthwhile or interesting. No matter what the subject is, you always take the most extreme-homer-Husker position there is without thinking.

FYI, Kansas State struggling doesn't help Nebraska, despite what you think. Thanks.

Everyone knows that you don't ever want to be the coach that follows a legend, you want to be the coach that follows the coach that followed the legend.  Prince is merely the sucker who didn't know better and thus has attempted to follow the legend.  Prince, the program, and the fans are merely passing time until his eventual dismissal so that we can get our next real coach and move on.
