ORU made the NCAA tourney and promptly got blown out, and beat ku during the season. DePaul made the NIT and beat ku . . . a team full of McD AA's and NBA lottery picks.

Whoop-dee-crap. Our season is over. You are over here searching for validation. It will be even more evident when ku fails to win a national championship, you will try to base the teams worth on how many times you beat K-State (pathetic). Noone expected us to be great at the beginning of the season, and most of us rational ones expected to lose to ku twice (before we knew we'd play them three times). There is understandably a different set of expectations in Manhattan than there is in Lawrence, but I believe that will change in the next few years as our talent level is upgraded, and we will be able to run with ku and Texas.

When the game ended, Beaugh did what any good Jayhawk would do. He sang the “Rock Chalk Jayhawk” chant. Only, nobody joined in.
“Bunch of queens,” Beaugh said, laughing. “They don’t know what to do.”
This was certainly different from watching from his seat in Allen Fieldhouse. But, that’s life at Outa Bounds Sports Bar & Grill, Kansas City’s only gay sports bar.
It’s a place where crazed ku fan Steven Piatt can belt out, “I LOVE THE JAYHAWKS!” and, moments later, jump out of his seat and kiss the bartender on the lips.
It’s a place where, one night last week, half the patrons wanted to watch the ku game and the other half wanted to watch “American Idol.” Unfortunately for those hoping to listen to Simon Cowell, the game won out and was played over the bar speakers.

ku lost to Depaul which did not make the Big Dance.

Probably about the same for both teams. Oral Roberts may have done a little better in the Big 12, but I can't say for certain.
This is what I do know: Oral Roberts played ku once, in Allen Fieldhouse, and managed to walk away with a win. K-State lost to ku by 27 points in Allen Fieldhouse, and lost the other two games at home and on a neutral court.

Don't worry about ku, K-State is making the big time fellows! All because of one guy, Huggs. Enjoy it, you never know when it will be over or your star player will break his leg during your national title year.

Nah, not really. And the conference really wasn't that bad the last couple years. He had some really good recruits come through with Wingfield, Damon Flint, Fortson, Dermarr Johnson, and Kenny Satterfield.
The best part of that conference was it had a TV deal with ESPN and being the class of it for so long, UC was on every week pretty much
