Olathe.  Kinda slightly South of center, but East of I-35.  I'm around 127th and Mur-Len, in case you want to vandalize my property.

1. Fairly close to the office.
2. Cheap, cheap rent.

I honestly have no concept of what is expensive/cheap in Olathe.

Less than $500?  Less than $1000?

I wish I worked closer to where I live.

I'd love to live down there. Too far from work tho.
And that's a damned steal.

Yeah, I had a 9th floor view of the downtown skyline and Liberty memorial, too.  It didn't have brand new everything, hardwood floors, an extremely nice clubhouse/fitness center, wasn't spacious, didn't have high ceilings. Et cetera.

But I liked it a lot.

I'll take the view and the location over that stuff.

The best things in life are free. . . . or are $60-100 and come in sandwich bags from shady dudes with names like "Jordan" or "Tyrone."

You're close to Dillon's not Milgrams.

(I know most of you young-uns will have no idea what this means)

North OP. . .about two blocks south of Mission.

Trying to find some good bars.  So far the only one I kinda like is the Point's $10 deal on Fridays from 7-9...the two times I've been it hasn't been too crowded, and you can sit outside if it's not outrageously hot.  Also, not a bar (well, part of it is), but the new Crossroads KC venue kicks ass.

Thanks clams.  It's good to be back where I grew up.

I got spoiled living in Lawrence for the past five years.  My favorite place there was a spot called Henry's, which was an upstairs bar that was almost never too crowded, the music wasn't too loud, and it just had a nice, grad student atmosphere.  Could always get Harp or Stella for $4 a pint, and usually some type of double well special for the same price.

I like to be able to sit.  I like to be able to hear conversation.  It's always nice if there's a patio option, especially if the indoors tends to be pretty smoky.  I like affordable drinks, and I like there to be some folks about my age around.

I'm not a big fan of Tomfooleries, Granfalloon, or O'Dowd's on Friday or Saturday nights.  Too crowded and meat-market-ish.  The Cashew was okay...cool setting, but the wait staff seemed kind of bitchy when I went, and it was pricey.

Henry's in Lawrence is fantastic.

The best hole-in-the-wall bar close to bslimz is The Keyhole. Reminds me of a one-level Mae's.
