does anyone know if we are for sure getting new football uniforms in the near future? i've heard rumors but i didn't know if it was true, although i guess i'm expecting it b/c of our big deal with nike. just as long as they don't touch the helmet design or "oregon-ize" our uni's i'll be okay.

Oregon-izing the uniforms would be great for recruiting.
Sets us apart.

If they set us apart like our bball uni's do, then i'm all for it.
but i think oregon has staked it's claim in the area of outrageous football uniforms.

We obviously have to take it a step further and outdo Oregon.
I'm all for some crazy uniforms that have never been done before(that I know of.)
All black(Black out football version!) or uni's with lights in the trim for the night games. We can also use these to advertise and bring in more money for the university, and distract opponents. (Think of it, a giant "Eat at Village Inn!" on the back of a jersey, which in turn makes the opponent hungry and think of food instead of catching our receiver who is running all the way to the endzone. Genius.)

Better yet, new skimpier uni's for the cheerleaders. It would distract almost everyone, except NU.

Something of this notion was posted on a husker board. My high school's color's were purple, black and silver, and if done right, KSU could have some neat jersey's. Didn't somebody on here do a photoshop/paint version of a black jersey on Freeman?
Nike could make KSU look "cool" or they could make you look like Oregon. Hopefully, they go for cool.

Btw, i'm also a season ticket holder and have missed a total of about 4 ksu football home games ever since I moved to the midwest in 1996. He is still running around the campus in Lincoln looking for Tommy Lee. But really PowercatMatt at least you didn't loose your allegiance like some others from that tailgate group who went to "rival" schools and then sat behind me at the big monday game this year.

Haha my KSUIQ is doing just fine...i've got no excuse for not posting much recently other than that the past month has been crazy for me with tests, presentations and work...plus i'm in Manhattan on the weekends which means I hardly have any access to a computer, since the one at my house is terrible. But yeah now that I've hardly got any tests left until finals I've got lots of more time to get on the message boards (well, post on them anyways...i check them pretty much everyday no matter what!)

What we need are three different jerseys, three sets of pants and two different helmets- all classy and NOT Oregon-ized. More than one helmet color is something not very many schools take advantage of that would be awesome!
Helmet 1- Silver with Purple Powercat
Helmet 2- Purple with Silver Powercat
Jersey 1- Purple
Jersey 2- White
Jersey 3- Black
Pants 1- White
Pants 2- Silver
Pants 3- Purple
Then- every week you could change up the uniform but keep it essentially the same.

I'm sure Nike could pull something off that would look sweet with a purple helmet and silver powercat, but I've always been hesitant when someone brings that up...i remember how bad Washington's helmets looked (IMO) when they had purple helmets with the gold "W", and how much better they were when they were gold with the purple "W". I'd be okay with a black jersey only if it was used on rare occasions, kind of like the ND green jerseys.
