1. Having WR's catch tennis balls shot out of a cannon like Stoops did at OU and having a sandpit for agility drills like Tech.
2. Singing the Alma Mater after games like Tressel did at Ohio State.
Thoughts, please.

Bring back Touchdown!
Put a live Wildcat in a cage with bars so far apart that he can almost get out. Place said cage behind the visitors bench, and make sure he isn't fed for 2 days before each home game.
-
That's a good one. We need to bring back the cannon, too.
Don't forget the #1 hot-button issue on everyone's mind: Names on the back of jerseys.
I can't wait to find out if they stay off or return. The anticipation is killing me! :banghead:

New music
No more skits
No more of that Sousa song

Never change the music.
I almost cried this November when I realized I may never hear "Lay Your Hands on Me" by Bon Jovi in the pregame.
Okay, I didn't almost cry, but the late 80's music with the psuedo-homo lyrics is kind of a cool tradition.
-
I strongly disagree.
I also think playing the music really loud before the snap is kind of bush league.
And the "STAND UP WILDCAT FANS, MAKE SOME NOISE" guy needs to go. He is the same guy who does the "be proud, be purple, go state" in the Season ticket commercial. Just awful.

I agree on the snap music. You're just flat-out wrong on the pregame music.
-
I like the pre-game music. It's grown on me. I just don't think the players really like it at all. Day's like these, Lay your hands on me, etc...
Stand up for the Champions must stay.
How about a compromise? Keep the old stuff, but add some new stuff?
-
Music needs to stay. They changed it a bit after the 03 season...worst decision ever.
-
Need to bring back Willie on the cell phone. We ready.

1. A game with no delay of game penalties.
2. Something more along the lines of the yellow pages sized playbook we were told Snyder had, but never saw (except in Beasley's last year).
3. Bench players practicing something other than the gatorade towel formation.
4. Music. Keep some of it, but rotate in some fresh stuff.
5. Fewer information firewalls.
-
How about no more last place finishes in the Big XII North. :beerchug:

That would be sweet. Didn't that happen against MU when Miller was basically the OC? I can't remember for sure.

It seemed like I could call half the plays. I can't imagine how often the opposition knew what we were going to run. I couldn't find the article, but I read something about Prince not wanting to "get worse to get better" on offense. Franklin excites me.
4. Music. Keep some of it, but rotate in some fresh stuff.
I'm just sentimental.
5. Fewer information firewalls.
I think we're already seeing that. I noticed that all Saturday spring practices are open to the public, and all Friday practices are open to students and faculty only.

Too much music is BAD. Iowa State is a venue that plays WAY too much music (mostly rap) and it feels bush league.
-
The atmosphere at ISU is just weird in general.

Rusty speaks, Ron Prince listens:
• Perhaps a new tradition had the KSU team going immediately to the band for the playing of the alma mater following the game.
-
We need a fiery debate on the coach wearing all black.
-
The music will improve drastically simply with the addition of a new sound system.
-
I think we need a blimp.

Man, it's bugging you too! I think the whole season rests on whether or not they are allowed to have their names on the back of the jerseys...this is a MAJOR decision...
-
Nation, I'd love to hear your take on the new pregame music.
-
I'd give it if I had heard it....if it's NOT the same as it was...this is a good thing..
Nothing like 80's hairbands and soft rock to get the guys ready for the game!
I've been a long time advocate of KSU Stadium (Now Bill Snyder Family Stadium) becoming a more hostile environment...more hard rock/rap less Kenny G and Barry Manilow.
Also, more PA music with a decent sound system, less "Kansas Wildcat March"...especially if you aren't going to mic the band.
-
I'll be honest, overall the team looked much better then I expected. Yeah, there's still a ton of $hit to improve on, but overall I like what I saw.
It will be easier to transition to the WCO for KSU, simply becuase (and you long timers should know this) the KSU offense had signficant packages that were very WCO like. The problem is, Snyder got such a stiffy for the QB running game, he could never turn the page on the playbook.
-
I can't wait for the Marshall/Louisville games...when we'll finally know something....
-
I'm with you Dax. Last year at this time, we were hearing how the team was "working hard" and recommited -- if it was said enough, it was like that alone would turn into wins. Well, we all know what happened last year. There's honest energy with this team and new coaching staff. Will it translate to wins? Who knows, but it sure beats the alternative the past couple years.
Spring games are spring games, but the last time a K-State team showed any semblance of wanting to play a spring game was probably when it was played at CiCo Park back in '02.
Also, Prince and Franklin aren't going to shove some "WCO" doctrine down the players throats like Cally. They're going to adjust to the players' abilities and keep the playbook open to all pages. That's one thing that frustrated me about Snyder the past couple of years -- he didn't deviate from the QB run game when he likely had the largest playbook in all of college FB.
-
The current situation is very remindful of the early years of Snyder, when KSU had a staff that consisted of Stoops, Stoops and Leavitt ... very fiery, very player oriented guys who could teach well, and communicate well. Only now there's better talent ... yeah its down a little over the "glory years".
I just think Coach No Fun finally wore everybody down to the nub.
-
"1. A game with no delay of game penalties."
I liked what Prince had to say about Dylan's early TO to avoid one of those delay of game penalties. I take this back.

That was almost a blatant shot at OMLSnyder.

I blame Bob Elliot and some of the other scrubs on the former staff...and Coach Snyder's loyalty to said scrubs.
-
...and yet Bobby Elliot is the only one called out by name. Interesting.

He sucked worse than everyone.
-
Lets see, he's still employed at this level. A lot of other coaches can't say that. Yes, clearly then he must have been the worst.

Out of Snyder, Miller, and him? Yes, he was.
-
My list of coaches is a little bit longer...and so was K-State's. If your memory was just of 3 coaches then that doesn't speak well towards your memory of Elliott.
-
Agree with Kougs here. Elliots defense was 11th in both 2004 and 2005. I hope he dies.

Can't compare assistants to coordinators or the head hancho, pal.
-
head hancho, pal.
Fantastic.
-
Outstanding.
-
I think discussing the disfunction and talents of assistants besides the coordinators is worthy. They do affect the product which goes on the field. If you want to skip over them, why not run straight to the top and blame everything on that guy?
-
I think wins would be a cool thing I'd like to see under Prince. I'm starting to forget what it feels like to anxiously await monday's rankings and see how far we were going to move up.
