Doesn't make sense to me. If KSU loses to Tech on Friday, then I could see the Big XII just getting four in, but if KSU wins, then Tech and KSU should get in, IMO.
ku is a likely #1 seed. aTm is a likely #2 seed. Texas could get a #3 seed if they win a couple of games in the tourney. So you're telling me that the Big XII won't get anybody in below a #3 or #4 seed? Really? There's no #6 or #7 through #10 or #11 seeds in the Big XII? Just three top seeds? Especially when you have a team that beat three of those and a team that took out Texas on the road and has 20 wins?
:blindfold:

Tech is in with a win over CU. Tech vs KSU will decide whether or not the league gets 4 or 5 teams in the dance. JMHO.

Look at tech's losses, if we beat them badly, could they get left out? I mean, Baylor, Mizzou, OU, NU, neither texas game was close.

This makes no sense to me. Texas Tech went 5-6 in their last 11 and their stock is rising. The Cats went 6-4 in their last 10 (which is allegedly the most important stretch of the season) and all of a sudden we're like the plague. Could someone please explain that to me?

It's the 'Big XII north is weak' argument.
Yet if you inserted one of the top 3 north teams into any of the midmajors, they'd almost certainly make a run at winning the conference outright. OK, ku would probably win any conference outright. But KSU and Mizzou would likely win the MVC, the MWC, all of the northeastern midmajors, etc etc etc.
The Big XII is getting anally raped by a &@#%ed up tweak to the RPI.

The thing I don't like is that everyone is so obsessed with cinderella teams. If they make an argument that KState is in a weak BXII north division, they should say the same about the mid-majors.
I just hope we can get into the tournament. Cartier and Lance have worked their asses off for four years and deserve to get the chance to play their last game in the Big Dance.

Big XII South versus Big XII North:
Texas A&M: 6-0
Texas: 4-2
Texas Tech: 4-2
Oklahoma State: 2-3*
Oklahoma: 2-4
Baylor: 2-4
* one game remaining, on the road (where OSU never wins)
The only argument you can make that B12S >>> B12N is because of A&M. After that the divisions are very comparable.

Bill Self made this same point in the coaches' teleconference today (how can the top 3 teams in the Big XII be Top 4 seeds in the tourney, and the #4 team be out?). I guess that means I have high bball IQ.

Especially when the #1 seed being considered comes from the same "weak" North, and their best conference win was at HOME verses a team that KSU beat on the ROAD.
The talking heads are doing their best to make a case against KSU. They seem to be doing their best to make cases FOR the other bubble teams.
