It looks like it will be a "Happy Trail..." Thing or maybe in the big finish. So little to no actual discussion about it, just a blip.

Were they laughing with us or at us?

The suspense is killing me.

Intense.

Basically "Next year let's throw PETA's members.  Nah, you can't do that anymore"

End of discussion.

There was some new video of it that I hadn't seen before.  To the students that did it, kuDOS.  They did it perfectly, and even with a camera pointed right at them you couldn't see who did it.

We really should consult with PETA about throwing the chickens.. surely they have a proper way to do this without causing harm, and it will allow us to keep the tradition and not ruffle any feathers.

They did a "Happy Trails" to the tradition during their "Happy Happys" segment at the end. Gotta give credit to Wilbon for saying something to the effect of "wish they'd toss a PETA member instead" or something like that. I used to like him alot but lately I've turned on him.....until now.

Here's the thing I don't get though.....

What Chicken Tossing tradition are we getting rid of? We've done it against ku a couple of times and that's it. That seems like hardly a tradition to me.

No. That's my point.....The emphasis is on the "old" part.

Uh, this is a tradition that goes back to the late 70's when I was a young lad in Manhappinin'.

I've only been to a couple of KSU vs. ku games that I can remember, as recently as last year, in Manhattan and I've never seen it happen.

It seemed to me that they thought the chicken tossing idea was funny, but couldn't promote it because it wouldn't be p.c.

I agree too bad no body has the guts to say what they want.
