...a team that is 4-6 in the last 10, and has lost 6 of their last 8 has an equal or better shot at making the bracket. I am pretty sure the committee puts a lot of stock into the record in the last 10 games. Thats Okie State
Same with Texas Tech, they aren't much better. 4-6 in the last 10. Won 3 of the last 9.
How is the committee going to take either of these teams over KSU? You are going to take the 5th and/or 6th team in the Big 12 and skip the 4th? I don't understand.
I think we are still in. Win against Oklahoma and a game in the Big 12 Tourney, I think we are easily in.

It's been so long since I've followed a true bubble team this is all somewhat new to me and I think most other people since we don't know how the committee will deal with a team like K-State at this point, it will be fun to watch though, I'm just hoping we're in the running at least when they have selection sunday.

If you've noticed my "Jay Bilas" rants recently that's one thing that he HAS been talking about. He keeps talking about how the committee spends very little time talking about RPI and "Last 10", etc.

No, I watched an interview a year or so ago with the head guy. Can't think of his name but I believe he is from Virginia. Page maybe? He said something to the effect that the last 10 games are pretty crucial for bubble teams. Its about how good you are playing now, not in December. And if this is the case and we can win 2 straight, that should give us a big advantage over TT and Okie State
EDIT: Craig Littlepage AD from Virginia

They would take both Tech and OSU over KSU based on head to head and signature wins. The place in the conference would be part of the discussion but the other factors would out weigh it. They would discount out place in the conference do to an easier schedule (we got to play CU twice etc.)

Using your own logic, does it concern you at all that we can't beat either of those two terrible teams you mentioned??
OSU is so bad that they're 4-6 in their last 10, lost 6 of their last 8, and BEAT a K-State team you expect to be in the bracket.

No. It's not a one game season.

ok. then look at our wins vs. USC and UT compared to TT's wins over 2x A&M and ku, or OSU's wins over Pitt, UT, Syracuse and TT.

So you're cool with their bad losses?
OSU's "big wins" = LOL (outside of pitt)

We have bad losses, too.

Tech, at least 3 wins over likely tournament teams.*
OSU, at least 3 wins over likley tournament teams.
KSU, at least 2 wins over likely tournament teams.
OSU, 1 >100 RPI loss, 1 >200 RPI loss, 3 losses to teams with no NCAA chances.**
Tech, 2 > 100 RPI losses, 4 losses to teams with no NCAA chances.
KSU; 2 > 100 RPI losses, 4 losses to teams with no NCAA chances.
* against teams that are likely "locks" right now.
** against teams whose only shot at the dance is to win their conference tournament.

Win the OU game and win some more in the Big12 T.

@CU, home to MU are both worse than a loss to Lincoln.

No team that loses to CU should be allowed in the tourney. That should count as 3 losses.
Edit: But a team that loses to the team that lost to CU should make the tourney.

Another way, and this uses bracketology, so take it FWIW.
OSU wins over potential 3 seed, 7 seed, 8 seed, and 9 seed.
Tech wins over potential 2 seed (twice) and 2 seed.
KSU wins over potential 5 seed and 7 seed.
I agree that @CU and MU @ home are worse losses than @ NU.

For some reason, this discussion gets boringer all the time.
Maybe discussing what seed you're going to get is more interesting.
Hopefully, we'll find out next year.

Yeah, its getting kind of old. At this rate I'm looking forward to seeing the NIT brackets and the home games we're going to get.

It would certainly be interesting to see just how much of a clusterfock it would be watching the AD at KSU put together a game on 2 or 3 days notice.
