Title: Women lose again.
Post by: waks on February 24, 2007, 07:26:20 PM
Lost a lead that we had for the entire game.

Patterson needs to start looking for another job..

Screw that.  Keep deb.  We may be sucking horribly this year, but she's better than anyone else we would get.  I'm perfectly content with a wbb team that makes the wnit every year and the ncaa every other year or so.

Remember when the NIT championship was going to be our springboard to great things this year?

That's what I was thinking. Look what losing did for Marquette!

For what it's worth, I talked with someone close to the Washburn women's team this weekend, and he said he thought Ron McHenry would probably be interested if K-State's job opened up.

Would he do a good job? Didn't Washburn win a Div. II national championship a couple years back??

NIT championship

I was at Midnight Madness earlier this season.  Some loud screeching woman told me we actually won a National Championship.

Then she was ushered off the court so Hoskins could dominate the dunk contest.

Yeah, 2 years ago.  They went undefeated last year in the regular season.

Emporia State has been really good as of late, too.  Their coach is worth a look (whoever he is).

Stop Bashing Deb. Reply

She owns K-State's ONLY national title, and has a solid program. Sure, we have lost a few games this year but injuries have really hurt this year. Remember, Deb has dominated ku, something that our other programs have failed to do. Back of Deb and focus on the positives that she brings to KSU.

Wow.

Who on GPC and or Scout said that?

Two things automatically standout in that to be completely false. Only national title is false (plus the NIT is not a national title, it is a title for rejects of the NCAA tourney) and only person to dominate ku. We dominate ku in volleyball, football, and several other sports not entitled women's basketball. What a twat.

Yup.......Deb definately screamed in the mic that night. My ears are still ringing.
But if I recall........NO ONE dominated that dunk contest. In fact, it was quite lame.

Huggs is doing his best to fix this problem.  We will soon have two of the best dunkers in the nation.

If I recall......my entire post.......was tinged with sarcasm.........by and large.
