Feel free to mix and match. Just having fun and drooling, a lot.
When we go "small."
PG: Clent Stewart
SG: Tyree Evans
SF: Bill Walker
PF: David Hoskins
PF: Michael Beasley
"Small" lineup for those who aren't Stew fans:
PG: Jacob Pullen
SG: Tyree Evans
SF: Bill Walker
PF: David Hoskins
PF: Michael Beasley
For when we need a center(keep in mind jason will be better next year):
"Power" team with a center
PG: Jacob Pullen
SF: Bill Walker
PF: David Hoskins
PF: Michael Beasley
C: Jason Bennet
"Shooting" team with a center
PG: Clent Stewart
SG: Tyree Evans
SF: Bill Walker
PF: Michael Beasley
C: Jason Bennet
All guard lineup:
G: Clent Stewart
G: Blake Young
G: Tyree Evans
G: Jacob Pullen
G: Fred Brown
All "muscle" lineup:
C: Jason Bennet/Luis Colon
SF: Dominique Sutton
PF: Michael Beasley
PF: David Hoskins
PF: Kristof Ongegaet
3 point team lineup:
G: Clent Stewart(interchangable with Jacob Pullen)
G: Fred Brown
G: Tyree Evans
PF: Michael Beasley
SF: Bill Walker
There's a lot of possibilities. And no, I have no idea why we would use any of the "special" lineups. But they're fun to play around with anyways. We'll have the talent next year to run almost any type of offense. We could run the "40 minutes of hell" better than Mike Anderson. We could run the Air Force "3 pointer" offense better than air force. We could player a power/muscle you out of the paint game better than most teams in the country(probably our weakest "specialty" area.) Not that we would. But it's just &@#%ing awesome that we could if we wanted to.
My dream lineup is basically the same as when we're going "small"
PG: Clent Stewart
SG: Tyree Evans
SF: Bill Walker
PF: David Hoskins(imagine the matchup problems when he's going against a SF!)
PF: Michael Beasley
It doesn't end there. Look at who's coming off the bench for these guys:
For Clent: Jacob Pullen, Blake Young
For Tyree: Fred Brown
For Bill Walker: Dominique Sutton
For David Hoskins: Kristof Ongegaet
For Michael Beasley: Jason Bennet, Luis Colon
Our best "conventional" lineup is probably:
PG: Clent Stewart
SG: David Hoskins(Want to put Tyree but hard not to put Hoskins in.)
SF: Bill Walker
PF: Michael Beasley
C: Jason Bennet
In summation:

I'm a Stew fan!
I don't think we sign "Ong in the Gon".
I agree on our most likely line-up:
Stew - Pullen - Young
Hoskins - Evans? - Brown
Walker - Sutton
Beasley - JUCO?/Kent
Bennett - Colon
-
Starters:
Beasley
Walker
Hoskins
Evans
Stewart
Shooters:
Pullen
Stewart
Evans
Walker
Beasley
Mean:
Pullen
Sutton
Walker
Hoskins
Colon
Defense:
Stewart
Brown
Sutton
Walker
Bennett
No matter what:

It's going to be VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY hard not to have high expectations with those guys on the team next year.
-
Stew could best serve the team and himself for next year if he shot 200 treys a day from the end of this season until the beginning of next. If he could turn himself into a legitimate, consistent three-point threat he would be very valuable next year.

Guards!
Pullen
Brown
Sutton
Evans
Beasley
Frosh and a senior:
Stewart
Pullen
Brown
Sutton
Beasley
(or)
Pullen
Brown
Sutton
Hoskins

quick 1-3-1 zone:
Pullen
Brown
Evans
Sutton
Bennett
If we don't get Evans I will cry. :'(

More guards!

"All your paint are belong to us" lineup:
C: Jason Bennet
C: Luis Colon

Our "&@#% with me and I'll punch you in the back of the head" lineup:
C: Luis Colon

F: David Hoskins
G: Jacob Pullen
G: Blake Young

Christ, I just realized none of my lineups included Blake (my favorite (healthy) player on the team.)
-
we donīt have enough minutes next year. :'(
-
I could be wrong, but I think the Clent Stewart will get the lions share (31-33) of the minutes at point next year. You guys have an outstanding class, the only guy I'm not sold on is Pullen.

Dude, where did you get the Pullen video?
Our PG situation doesn't really change much next year...we just add more combo guards.

you might be right. it is nice to have stewart and young back. brown and pullen can make absolutely no impact and we can still be decent outside. good enough to let the forwards win some games ... just like this year.
by the way, why does no one in the phog thread discussing this mention evans? there is a decent chance heīll be our leading scorer next year.

1) He is far from official.
2) Denial/fear/rationalization

The videos I've seen of him were posted on youtube a while back. My brother who posts on gopowertards e-mailed them to me when he predicted a FF next year. Its been probably 2 months since I've seen anything else from Pullen so I could be wrong.
-
Your brother is a dumbass. He probably didn't really see a pullen video.
Take that FWIW.

No argument here.

Pullen is only about to take the "Mr. Basketball" title in Illinois from some guy named Rose. I'm guessing that means he's pretty good. :ustupid:

No way he beats Rose. No effing way. It was pretty much decided before the season even started.

Sutton is a much better college prospect. He's a glue guy that will fit in perfectly in the physical Big 12. He'll get in there and rebound, feed the scorers, and if he were smart, he'd carve out a niche as the no-nonsense defensive stopper. He has that kind of potential.
Pullen is a good HS guard but too erractic and too much of a gunner at his size. Guards like that in the past have fared well under Huggins but not so sure he's a guy that can make a difference in the high-major college ranks.
from justin young. i asked him why sutton moved up and pullen no.
edit. oops. i just noticed, i asked meyer, but it was young that responded.

Thanks, sys.
