Title: Beasley/McDonalds AA Team
Post by: JTKSU on February 19, 2007, 04:27:22 PM
It's possible that the ku posters on this board were flaming when they posted that Aldrich would be named to the team, and Beasley would not.  However, I took upon myself to go to the horse's mouth, if nothing else than to ease my mind.  Dave Telep (a Scouts writer) is on the panel that votes on the team members, and he represents N. Carolina on the panel.  (I didn't know which region to ask, I figured he had the most experience with Mike, so I went with him.)  He responded twice today.Once at about two, and once at 3:18.  I feel much better.

I do not have the final rosters. IMO, it would be ludicrous if Beasley were left off. Let’s see what happens this week.

I think your information is bad. I believe Beasley will  be on the team.

Very well done JT.  Suprisingly when QX4Hawk came over here no one asked him to provide a source.  I guess he couldn't because one didn't exist.

I didn't think prep school guys could play in the McDonalds AA Game.  Is that wrong?

Only true fourth year seniors are eligible.  So Mike (who is a fourth year) is eligible; but many guys in prep schools are beyond their fourth year, so that may be what you are thinking of.  Also, this guy actually votes on the teams, so his saying that he believes Mike selected for the team pretty much guarantees he is at least eligible.
