It didn't happen. Wooly never lost decent players. You're thinking of someone else.

I remember hearing him talking to KK after he announced his transfer.  I could barely understand him.

Fred played hard for KSU.  I was upset to see him go.

me too.  Good defender, and not afraid to create although probably did so a little too much.

Fred was tough match up for opposing teams.  He's a very solidly built 6' 5" G.

I think Fred averaged 15 ppg for KSU during his one season.  Losing him was a big blow to last year's squad.  But in the end, we got Huggs.  Classic silver lining story.

I can't confirm the rumor...but I heard Wooly cleaned out his locker one day because he was so upset at Fred's tendency to try and exert his will on the other team.  Evidently he called him a fun-loving vagina and that hurt Freddy's feelings.

"Fred has expressed his desire to exclusively play the point guard position," Wooldridge said in a release. "He feels like this is his best position to reach his goal of playing in the NBA. Consequently, he has decided to transfer to a program where he can play the point guard position 100 percent of the time.

"We wish him the best as he pursues his individual goals."

Does anyone remember the Kietzman interview after Peete decided to transfer? Kietz kept trying to get him to trash Wooly, but Peete wasn't really articulate and sounded bored. The Woolites claimed victory saying Peete isn't a good speaker, thus needed to transfer.

Frustrating times.

Would it have killed us last season if Peete had brought the ball up the court instead of Clent?

i know that both wooldridge and peete agreed on this as the cover story.  i just find it humorous that anyone believes it.
