Title: Postgame observation.
Post by: Saulbadguy on February 17, 2007, 10:44:16 PM
Jason Bennett walked out during the postgame radio show in his street clothes, and stared down Huggins, shook his head, and walked up the northside stairs, slowly, to the exit.  He was pouting.   :'(

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but right before the start of the second half, JB went to sit down next to Colon and must have bumped him.  When he did, Colon slapped at him and said something.  Chris Merriweather jumped up very quickly and sat in between them.

I don't know what is going on in either one of their heads, but it doesn't appear to be good.

Lets have them fight to the death. Winner stays on scholarship. It's win win for us. We get the stronger of the 2 and open up a scholly.

does Durant look like he is twelve to anyone other than me? I know he is like 6'9" but he looks like he is twelve years old.

Thats because the only time espn shows him Greg Oden is either in the picture next to him or following him. Greg Oden looks about 35 and makes durant look like hes 12.

I'm pretty sure Colon broke a chair.

Saw that too.

Also saw some drunk bastard puke all his nachos up two rows in front of me.  Felt sorry for the guy sitting in front of him.  Vomit is a tough smell to get out, especially when it's not your own.

Good stuff. First the dumb @#%$ Cal player and now chairs. At least he has moved from assault and battery to destruction of public property..

Quote
As the second half was just about to begin , Bennett and Luis Colon, who was pulled early in the first half and did not play again, sat next to each other on the bench. First, a few animated words were exchanged. Then, the two exchanged elbows to the ribs.

Before things escalated further, Chris Merriewether stepped in and told Bennett to move over. Merriewether sat between the two.

The only thing JB and Durant have in common is the same class.

Durant turned 18 this past fall.  JB, on the other hand, is 20.

A guy I know attended the alumni BB reception after the game last night.  The first thing JB said when he walked in was: "Hi... where's the food".  He didn't say if his title of "Messiest on the team" was reflective in the way he eats, too.

They'd have to have a Colon-Bennett death match in a 4x4 cage, otherwise it would take about 5 weeks, because neither is quick enough to land anything significant in a regular sized ring.

It's a testament to how good Huggs is as a coach, that he can get virtually zero production from these two and still put a winning product on the floor.

The guy amazes me.
