Five Teams In:
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Texas A&M
Texas
Texas Tech
How do Tech and Oklahoma State get in when they're behind us in the standings?
-
Their overall resumes are better right now, despite a lower conference record. I'm sure most of the pundits would say if they played in the north they'd have the same record or better. And just look at the 1990 KSU team compared to this year's Texas Tech to see how far several big wins can take you.

It doesn't have anything to do with conference record. Watch UVA meltdown when KSU Sister School Duke gets in, in front of UVA, with a losing ACC record. Good times!

Our resume is starting to look a lot like Colorado's last year, especially when you look at Big 12 play. (click for link) (http://www.kenpom.com/sked.php?team=Colorado&y=2006) That's not a good thing.

Tech gets in right now because they've beaten the top two teams in the Big XII three times.

Incredibly, they're 4-1 against the Top 4, 1-5 against the Bottom 8.
