ok.  i don't want to offend you dual sport fans.  as long as a lot of things are now going to be ksu bball's bitch, i don't mind if ksu fball isn't one of them.

I woke up out of the loop.  Loooked outside and saw it had snowed.  Then saw the news across the ESPN ticker a minute later.

Let's certainly hope NOT.  Football is the "tail that wags the dog" in collegiate athletics.

We had great hoops teams throught the 60's, 70's, and 80's, yet attendance was declining and the athletic department was operating in the red.  Since the arrival of LSnyder, and the growth of football (which coincided with the demise of basketball), the athletic department is profitable and attendance is up about 33% or so.

Don't ever forget what sport pays the bills and is most important to a university.
