Wow.  Anybody else think that the wording choices in the questions were painful to read?

Quite possibly the dumbest question I've ever seen..

Quote
Question: Your win-loss totals seem to be affected by how Cartier Martin is doing. When he's shooting 50 percent or better you win a lot of games and when he's below 50 percent you're not as good. Has it been one of your messages to him to take better shots?

That was a painful read made bearable only because I heard Hugs' opinion on internet message boards the other day.

Thank you.  Your presence here is PRICELESS for this type of information.  I feel comfortable calling these guys out because I'm sure that the folks I respect that cover KSU sports would never ask something so incredibly stupid.

"Coach, it seems like when your best scorer is playing well, your team is more successful..can you comment on that?

In his defense, because he's probably never seen K-State play, this is one of those lead-in questions we reporters hope spawns a long, insightful answer.

No dice...

I thought that was from "D. Scott".

No, that only sounds like a Fritchen question. The transcript on gpc.com is taken directly from the teleconference call. Fritch never asked a question today.

Jeffrey...I gotta know..was the thing with Knight planned, or did it just happen that way?

Truth is, Greg McDermott is usually the last guy on the call, and he never gets a lot of questions. So, when Knight was moved to the end - he missed his regular slot - I think a lot of writers realized a) we didn't need anything from him, and b) wouldn't it be nice to flip the script?

I was just wildly entertained by the fact that for the first time in history, he actually exchanged pleasantries with the moderator before hanging up...on the day he didn't get any questions.

Do you agree with Kietzman that Anderson=Wooldridge?  :)

That's probably an unfair question.

No, I don't agree. I personally think Mike Anderson is going to win - and win big - once he gets his players in there. The system works. You just have to plug in the right players. That Matt Lawrence kid has no business playing as many minutes as he does...

Stephon Hannah just really blows.

I'd trade Kent for Lawrence.

Mike Anderson will be a good coach, but he isnt versatile enough to win with someone elses players. I followed his teams at UAB, and once he got his system in they took off.
