13,340
Sure didn't seem very loud. Maybe it's the TV.
-
This game was quite.... The most boring 19 point victory in the history of basketball.
-
This game was boring as hell, but it was pretty full. The crowd even seemed to clap and cheer at some points for no reason, seemingly just to stay awake.
-
tough to get loud for this one. DULL. the man next to me didnt move all game. i had to nudge him to see if he was not a wax figure.
he did however, go bananas over the gambino's giveway and the shirt toss.
old bastards.
-
Better having that dude than the two old ladies sitting behind me doing play by play and acting like it was the end of the world when we missed a shot up by 20 with 2 minutes left. I bet that's just how they act sitting in front of their tv's knitting for the other games. I was really hoping they'd be among those that left early.
-
i had a pair of old hens doing the same thing....
what section?
-
Actual attendance reported was just under 12,000 according to Wyatt. I saw several empty chairs in the west side money section and then a few empties scatter about the rafters in the corners and above the tunnel.

Attendance: 13340
Actual Attendance 11758

quiet? or, quite the most boring game in history?
-
I think he meant quiet
-
With 5 minutes left in the game, the attendance was < 8000 and was dropping like a rock. I guess a lot of folks have 7 PM bedtimes on Saturday nights... There were traffic jams in some of the aisles with all the people leaving the game early.

Truly pathetic...

i did my 'thanks for coming' as they left.
crappy fans. pure crap.
wont stop me from making the trip and being the only ones standing in my section, thus making everyone else stand too.
-
ya, I tried to start a "Stand up chairbacks" chant just to humor myself.
And yes, I meant quiet.
-
I rather have a "boring" rout of what is, by far, the worst team in the Big XII. The last thing we need is to duke it out with the last place team.

what section?
27 (tunnel end)
-
ah, me...section 17.
someone must have let the door open on the whole bunch of them and they scattered out.
-
yeah there is no way the attendence was over 12,500 yesterday. the chairbacks dont have any excuses this time either. the game was at 5 o'clock and the roads were just fine, but obiously they dont like to come to the games. THEN DONT BUY THE DAMN TICKETS!!!!!
-
Seriously, I took the crowd struggling to get into the game as a GOOD thing. Granted, you'd like to see it better, but this was a case of this team (even though we didn't play great) beating a bad team bad. Face it, nobody is going to really come into a game vs the worst team in the league and completely go crazy, especially when you put that team away essentually by halftime. And people leaving early is part of that, it actually reflects well on the team even though it frustrates us diehards. I'm glad we really didn't need a raucious crowd to put away this Colorado team. Granted, CU isn't very good, but they have enough talent to compete as last week's win over OSU shows, and we had to put them in a place that mad them think they didn't have a chance and we did that. This was a step forward IMO to put away a bad team fairly early in the game when we really didn't play a great game.

Colo really looked out of it too and had no motivation. And why won't the refs just let us play anymore? It makes games hard to watch being so choppy

Heard from an athletic dept. official that you'd be surprised by the number of folks that have anywhere from 10 - 30 season bball tickets in their name, and more specifically in the chairbacks. The new seating plan is good in that it will break up these blocks of tickets and get some Butts in Bramlage. Who's going to pay $20K just to have the right to buy 20 chairback tickets?
I know a guy who "has" a season ticket in the chairbacks, but it comes through a guy in Florida. The Floridian has six tickets in his name and hasn't been to a game in years and I guess the balance of his seats stay empty a vast majority of the time.
