Adonis Thomas - He has got to feel great about his decision to commit to Prince early.
How many more have been "offered" gray shirts or just had their scholly pulled?
How is this going to sit with the local highschool coaches?
-
They're happy to just be associated with the elite football program in the state.
-
Don't be such a rube. You give Kansas a bad name.
-
It's not our fault he can't get academics in order.

Is that what you are calling, sorry son we recruited over you? Academics?
-
Did we really recruit "over" anyone?
-
I bet we called and offered a greyshirt or JUCO placement. And the two guys most responsible for recruiting him (Morris and Horton) are other places now.
-
I wonder if his sales pitch to the local kids next year will be...
You commit to us and stay loyal and we promise to uphold our commitment to you unless of course a better player comes along at your position...than you are crap out of luck.
-
Are you using Adonis Thomas as your prime example?
lol
-
Do we really care about Adonis Thomas?
Let us celebrate LaMark, Cris Patterson, and Gary Chandler!
-
Well he was the only one smart enough to tell old "gray-shirt" Prince to stick it when offered the "opportunity" to gray-shirt.
2 others including one ***(thanks Crabby effect) were told to grayshirt.
Interesting tactic. We shall see how it sits with local coaches.

Seriously, something like this will have little to no effect on next year's recruiting. It doesn't necessarily look good initially, but at the end of the day the overall effect is minimal.
Maybe not a complete fit, but an example being Justin Johnson back in the day for Wooly. Everyone said it would hurt and it was horrible, and the next year Wooly signed his best class. Again, that is with Wooly; this stuff is forgotten pretty quickly.
-
Maybe he should just pull the kids' offers and claim they were visiting other schools?

Ok Yoda
-
Yep, there is the tactic of berating a kid about visiting other schools, then when he does, just pull their offer. The Mangino Methodology.
-
Which running back, pray tell, was recruited over him?
Shouldn't the JCCC-L(OIC) fans have other things to worry about?
-
"So exactly how many kids did Prince screw over? "
according to gpc, at least 5 because that's how many haven't signed.
-
there were at least 3 cuba being one of them. again has we have talked before in previous discussion. character does matter. it will catch up. when it does we all will still be around. except the one who lacks the character.

Did anyone notice that Scout has listed KD as a grayshirt for weeks now? Anyway, Drinkgern and his coach were actuallly enthusiastic about the grayshirt when they were interviewed on the radio a few minutes ago and both said he needs extra time to get ready physically. Man, Drink is a well-spoken kid and excited to be a wildcat. I think he might be knocking on Kent's door right now asking for his weight program. A guy who saw him at the camp this past summer said the kid LOVES contact and has a nasty streak.

Hey resident Squawks.
Hey uh, KthUg signed 3 JC guys, there's a 4th possibly waiting out there, unless of course ku pulled the offer since ku is only suppossed to sign 3 JC's a year, unless of course ku counts (and they are) these guys back a year . . . so will ku manipulate its own and NCAA imposed sanctions, did ku pull an offer when something better came along. ku also still has rides to give, does ku go for anymore JC guys??
Always great to see a school that has had its major sports sanctioned NINE times since 1957 continue to weave and bob its way through the NCAA rulebook and it's own self-imposed sanctions which as we all know are a freaking joke.
That's our KthUg.
Sad . . .
