Updated WBB Power Ratings:
1. OKLAHOMA: Still on top … but wobbling after two losses in a row, to Texas A&M and Texas. The Sooners’ guards have to answer challenges.
2. TEXAS A&M: After ending Oklahoma’s league winning streak on Saturday, the Aggies had to scramble for a one-point win against Oklahoma State.
3. BAYLOR: The Bears almost saw Missouri pull an upset in Waco. Saturday’s trip to Nebraska looks even more treacherous.
4. NEBRASKA: The last time the Huskers played host to Baylor (2005), they won a triple-OT classic. Saturday’s matchup between the two is big for both.
5. TEXAS TECH: Lost a senior starter for personal reasons Wednesday and then almost lost to Kansas. Still, the Raiders have won five of last seven.
6. TEXAS: Who can figure out this team? Sometimes the Horns have it; sometimes they don’t. Hard to tell which group will show up Saturday at K-State.
7. OKLAHOMA STATE: The Cowgirls have lost four of last five, but two of those games came down to the final possession.
8. Kansas State (men): Hey if you're going to bend over and be everyone's bitch late in the season where do you expect to be ranked?
9. IOWA STATE: The Cyclones lost Wednesday at Nebraska without injured guard Lyndsey Medders. They hope to have her back Sunday when MU visits.
10. MISSOURI: The Tigers ended their four-game skid Sunday by beating Colorado, then nearly toppled Baylor. But MU is still looking for a league road win.
11. COLORADO: Looked dead in first half Wednesday against visiting K-State but went on an absurd 23-0 second-half run and won by 11.
12. KANSAS STATE: After being up by 15 at halftime at Colorado, the Wildcats’ offense virtually disappeared. Still without Marlies Gipson, K-State looking for answers.
13. KANSAS: Another “almost” for Jayhawks came Wednesday against Texas Tech. But ku’s Big 12 breakthrough isn’t likely to be Saturday at A&M.
