Title: Look at the crowd and the bench
Post by: chum1 on February 02, 2007, 08:29:02 AM
They should be going nuts, but they're anxiously waiting just in case Wright loses control of the ball and then knocks it out of bounds off his thigh.

I  think they're just quietly registering their disapproval of the red on his shoes.

IT'S NOT GLORY INTO COMBAT FOR THE PURPLE, RED AND WHITE.

I don't know why, but Akeem wearing red shoes doesn't surprise me one bit.

There was once a glorious time that they did.  Alas, those days are gone.

The response was there.  Remember, he fumbled the ball so it looked for a moment like he might lose it out of bounds but I remember right after the dunk the crowd was up and relieved as much as they were pleased.

The fact that they're even on their feet is a good enough start for me.

That reminds me.  Does anyone else HATE that the benches are on the other side this year?

Yes.  Makes heckling of the opposing teams players much more difficult.

Hmmm.  Didn't notice the bench was so tame.  Personally, I was going nuts when he threw that mutha down.

It's like FAN said, everyone was still in "is this dunk going to be of the Julian variety" mode.  Or Marshall Brown for that matter.

They just wanted to make sure the ball did go through the hoop and the official signaled that the basket counted.
