Title: When was the last time you heard Bramlage sound like that?
Post by: cireksu on February 01, 2007, 07:11:47 AM
All through the first half, and beginning at 8-10 minutes of the second half, that place sounded like we had ku down 4 with 2 minutes to go.  It was unbelievable, I had goosebumps the whole time.

This is why it is so important for our students to show up 6,000 strong.  No other home court can boast that number, that's nearly half the gym filled with students.  It was loud even though you could tell that the folks on the other side weren't standing and making much noise.  That could provide an extremely tough environment for anyone to come in an play.  We need that for every home game from here on out.

The last two games = the best back to back crowds I've ever seen*.

*since fall of '93.

Agree.

There have been some loud "moments" like when Collison got a 4th foul, and we thought it meant something.
Ellis hitting a three to either tie or take the lead against OU.

When Linus got a T for Mizzou...

Last night's consistent noise was AWESOME

I was so proud of the folks on the west side...but there were 2 farmers sitting across the aisle from me that almost refused to get up..more interested in eatin' their popcorn.

The Ellis 3 might have been one of the loudest moments that I remember..  I was down by the floor though, so its hard to tell.  Now that I'm way at the top of Section 1, I can get a better feel; if its loud up there its loud on the floor.  Last night was loud for almost the duration of the game.  MU took the crowd out for a while, but we got back into it soon after.  And nearly the entire building stood from the 12-13 minute to the end of the game, I've never seen that happen.

"When was the last time you heard Bramlage sound like that?"

Never. At least not for the entirety of the game.

Also, I thought the crowd did a really good job last night of staying in the game even during Mizzou's run. We kept trying to clap on O to get something going or still yell on D for the most part.

It was awesome and hopefully everyone listening and watching realizes what they are missing out on, and makes it to the few that we have left.

I'ver heard it loud.  But last night was LOUD.  And fun.

What a great time.  Driving home I was just groovin' along. No cares.  No worries.

All I did in lecture today was watch the game highlights and read KSU/MU articles from local papers.

The loudest game that I went to was probably texas in 04, don't remember why I missed the OU game in 03.  When Ellis hit a 3 in the texas game to put us up by 4 I think.  Also there was a no call on the floor right by ksu's bench that sent the place into a frenzy, I remember wooly turning to the students and urging on the booos.
