Gave us some quality minutes off the bench tonight. Maybank 3 for 4 which included a follow dunk and a steal and layup on the other end. Blake hit a huge 3 and had some nice assists late.
I really thought these guys should have played more for Harris, who was struggling big time.

I really thought these guys should have played more for CLENT STEWART, who was struggling big time.

Young played well tonight and didn't seem to get out of control like some games before, but at one point he was outmatched down in the paint. Mizzou's guard just backed up and laid it in. Other teams will pick up on this soon enough and expose it while Bennett is out.

Stewart did not a real solid game either. He had 5 TOs and a couple of costly ones on fast breaks. However Lance was just awful tonight and we should have had Stewart, Young, Maybank rotating the 1-2 spots in the 2nd half. Stewart is still our best ball handler and he did a good job with MU's pressure tonight. His TOs came mainly from some bad passes.

Mizzou finally got the better of Lance Harris.

Oh KK and his hatred for CStew. Like him or not, he's hit some big shots this year.

So I watched the game again tonight.
Stew played pretty well in the first half. Until he made a bad pass for his second TO with about a minute to go, he had played an excellent first half, including a couple of nice assists in transition, and 5 points, including a nice basket he created for himself as time ran down. He would have had at least a couple more assists if guys hit open shots, or in one case a point blank layup (Wright).
One of his to's in the second half was a bad pass by Harris that bounced off Stewart's arm.
He did commit a couple of dumb turnovers in transition in the second half which led to some more minutes for Yound and Maybank, but there was no reason to go away from Stewart until then.
FAN's right, we're going to need all of these guys if we're going to make a push for the Tourney.

Young has definately improved since his surgery. I have been the most impressed with Maybank lately. He seems to be getting much better every game-he could be huge down the stretch. He comes off the bench full of confidence and poise. Having a deep bench (i.e. Bennett, Martin, Maybank, Young) is the biggest reason I don't see us getting blown out of any games (20 pt type losses) to anyone, including ku.

Anyone in the chat heard me talking up Maybank just before he made some big plays. In the Vegas Tourny and last night he came out and did a couple big plays and a couple small plays that some fans might not notice or appreciate fully. I think he has filled out the Sky Thomas role nicely
